Our research deals with the synthesis and applications of multi-functional coordination chemistry.
We deal with three main areas:
1) Magnetic/Optical phenomena in coordination complexes – Investigating several types of magnetic phenomena and pairing them with optical functions.
2) Synthesis of functional ionic liquids – Taking interesting coordination complexes and turning them into ionic liquids.
3) Forensic applications – Testing complexes for use in forensic detection and security applications.
